Greetings from the Powerful Pomona Area Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated! I am honored to serve as Chapter President for the 2023 - 2025 program years. I welcome you to explore our website to learn more about this wonderful organization and the work we do across the greater Pomona Area community.
Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated is a membership organization of mothers with children ages 2 -19 dedicated to nurturing future African American leaders by strengthening children through leadership development, volunteer service, philanthropic giving, and civic duty. The Pomona Area Chapter is located in the Fabulous Far West Region under the leadership of Regional Director, JoAnne Curry.
Our chapter mothers are dedicated, committed leaders who understand the importance of laying a solid foundation for our own children and all children we interact with. We are excited to share our passion for growing leaders with you! Our Youth Leadership Programs

Area History
The founding members of the Pomona area chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. were Gloria White, from the Chicago North Shore Chapter, and Janice Dawsey from the Pasadena Chapter. Realizing the potential growth in the Pomona Valley area, other mothers joined them in January of 1980 and with the help of supporting members from adjacent Jack and Jill chapters, this small group persevered in the journey to achieve chapter status.
